Through the medium of installation and ceramic objects, I explore shared beliefs and values
essential in these two distinct yet harmoniously entwined worlds. By seamlessly blending
elements from my Salvadoran roots and American upbringing, my artistic endeavors aim to
foster a dialogue on the beauty found in cultural diversity, encouraging viewers to recognize the
shared benevolence that transcends borders and binds us together. My work functions as a visual
narrative of time, place, and people. When creating my work, I connect with my culture and
customs and traditions that have been shared with or passed down to me. My illustrations focus
on the histories and knowledge of Salvadoran culture, and I translate them in a contemporary
context. My Salvadoran culture is deeply embedded in artistry and in my ceramic work it
reflects the traditional rich history and vibrant spirit of Central America. The vibrant colors,
cultural motifs, intricate patterns, and cast of characters that have touched my life. I create
ceramic objects that tell stories of resilience, identity and cultural pride. My work is influenced
by the women who have been a part of my life, including my mother and grandmother as it
serves as a photographic record.

My installations serve as immersive narratives, capturing the essence of cultural merging and
celebrating the unity of seemingly different experiences. The ceramic objects I create art as
vessels of shared history, adorned with symbols and motifs that bridge the gap between
Salvadoran and American culture. These works not only reflect the influences of both cultures
but also serve as catalysts for conversations around the universal threads that connect us all.
